Theory Module

Representatives from two theory groups have written modules:

1. Richard Blackwell implemented the tube dilation models of T. McLeish and coworkers.

2. Manfred Wagner implemented the molecular stress function model of M. Wagner and coworkers

Predictions from theory can be overlayed with experimental data (using the same plot)

Structure of the Theory Modules

Part A: linear viscoelastic predictions
Classical theories
Maxwell
Rouse
Doi Edwards

Empirical models
BSW (Baumgärtel-Schausberger-Winter)
broadened BSW
Chambon-Winter

Molecular theory
tube dilation models of McLeish and coworkers
linear, star, H or pom-pom, tree

Part B: non-linear viscoelastic predictions
(to be released with IRIS8.0, June 2004)

1. tube dilation models of McLeish and coworkers
2. molecular stress function model of M. Wagner
